- Pass out Cold War Unit Study Guide. Remind students this is the material they are expected to know for the next unit exam.
- Class assignment: Students should read “Origins of the Cold War” pages 602-608. Students may work in a group to discuss the reading or choose to work alone. As they read they should take notes.
- When students are done reading and taking notes they should answer questions 1-5 on page 608. Remind students that many of the questions require answers longer than one sentence. Whatever they don't finish is homework
Tues./ Wed. March 20th-21st: Period 2, 5, 6
- Collect homework: Notes pages 602-608 & Q’s page 608
- Class assignment #1: Video notes. Pass out “The Best Years” Questions

- Students should take notes. Collect when the video is complete

- Students should independently read and annotate the documents. When done reading students should work on the questions on the “Let’s Play the Blame Game” worksheet. Do not allow students to discuss with one another the information. Whatever they do not finish will be homework.
- Class assignment #1: Have students form groups of 4. Discuss the “Let’s Play the Blame Game” documents and questions. Allow discussion for 15 minutes
- Have the class share out. Collect ONLY the “Let’s Play the Blame Game” questions.
- Class assignment #2: Pass out the “Evaluate the accuracy of this statement…” worksheet. Students may work alone or in groups.
- Read pages 607-615. Answer the questions.
- When done reading and answering the questions, complete the graphic organizer activity. Remind students the last question “The methods used by the U.S. to contain communism ere justified” is their opinion based upon facts from the reading
- Whatever they don't finish is homework.
Monday April 2nd: Period 2, 5, 6
- Collect the “Evaluate the accuracy of this statement…” worksheet.
- Class assignment #1: Pass out the “Cold War at Home.” Read, answer questions, and complete the graphic organizer. Due at the end of the period
Tues./ Wed. April 3rd- 4th: Period 2, 5, 6
- Class assignment #1: Pass out “Two Nations Live on the Edge” & “Cold War Timeline.”
- Students should read pages 622-627 and complete the graphic organizer.
- When completed, students should work on the other side “The Cold War Timeline.”
- Collect at the end of the period.
- If students finish early, encourage them to work on their Unit Study Guide.
Thurs/ Fri. April 5th-6th: Period 2, 5, 6
